Ilkeston dedicate match to anti-knife crime campaign
Ilkeston Town dedicated their game at the weekend to raising awareness of anti-knife campaign ‘SHATTERED - knives shatter lives’.
Working with Ilkeston Police, the club raised awareness about the dangers of knife crime. All players and staff warmed up in ‘SHATTERED’ t-shirts and the match day programme also contained dedicated information.
As a club, Ilkeston works with more than 400 young people keeping them active and engaged in sport, and understands how important it is to work together to drive out knife crime and criminality within the community.
Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood and Youth Engagement Teams were in attendance at the Microlise New Manor Ground to talk to fans.
