10-goal Evangelinos gets award for FA Trophy exploits

Ramsbottom United forward Nic Evangelinos received a special award at the club’s end of season dinner for his goalscoring exploits in their memorable FA Trophy run.

Evangelinos scored 10 goals in 12 games, including a hat-trick in the 5-5 draw against AFC Fylde, as the Rams went all the way to the last 16.

Their season came to an end last week with a play-off defeat to Radcliffe, but the club celebrated a memorable season that had started so poorly before the appointment of Chris Willcock as manager.

Evangelinos also won the Players’ Player of the Year while club captain Tom Kennedy won Supporters’ Player of the Year.

Clubman of the Year went to long-serving photographer Frank Crook.
