Albion announce junior tournament

Witton Albion FC will be running a junior football tournament on May 19th and 20th 2012 at their Help the Heroes Stadium, Wincham, Nr Northwich, Cheshire.

This competition will be open to age groups under 9’s; 10’s; 11’s and 12’s with two age groups competing on each day.

Invitations and entry forms will be sent out in January 2012 to clubs initially within the Mid Cheshire catchment although the competition is open to any club team from outside our area.

This competition has been staged before and ran for a number of years between 2000 and 2005. It was one of the biggest and most successful competitions in the North West attracting over 2,500 people and 160 teams from across the region. Many of the Club’s that competed hailed it as the best and most enjoyable professionally run competition they had entered, returning year after year for a great day out.

The venue will be on the main pitch with undercover seating and terracing around the ground giving spectators and supporters a clear unrestricted view of the playing area. Catering, both hot and cold will be available alongside the pitch and in the clubhouse. A large free car park can be used alongside the stadium giving easy access directly into the ground.

The entry fee/team competing will be £20 and will be limited to a maximum of 3 teams/ age group/club. Only clubs affiliated to their respective Football Association will be eligible to compete. Players must be registered for the current season 2011/2012, in accordance with their respective League or District rules.

Entry into the ground is FREE to all spectators and supporters.
