Bateman commits to Basford

Defender Liam Bateman has committed his future to EVO-STIK League Premier Division side Basford United.

Bateman, 24, joined the club last summer from Kettering and has now extended his contract until May 2020.

He added: "I am delighted with the work being achieved & we now have many players now contracted for 2020 and others will follow suit over the last month of the season.

"We are making excellent progress towards cementing our Management team to supplement Liam and Dom.

"On the new player front we expect to be active ,but very selective in who we bring in for the new season, but the platform is there to mount a concerted challenge 2019-20."

Basford are currently 8th in the Premier Division, 12 points off the play-off places with two games in hand.
