Bateston reunites with Cleethorpes

Cleethorpes Town have announced the return of attacker Curtis Bateson from Barton Town.

Bateson, 26, joined the Owls in 2019 from Alfreton Town, scoring five goals in 21 appearances, before departing for Barnton Town at the end of the 2020/21 season.

The attacker began his career at Scunthorpe United and had various loan spells at Gainsborough Trinity.

In 2015, Bateson joined North Ferriby, enjoying a two-year spell at the Villagers where he scored 18 goals in 21 appearances.

After two years at the club, he joined Gainsborough Trinity before moving to Alfreton Town after eight months.

Bateson rejoins Cleethorpes for a second spell at the club and is the Owls fourth signing, so far.
