Blake boosts Matlock frontline

Matlock Town have boosted their strike force with the signing of young striker Nyle Blake.

Blake, 20, came through the ranks at Mansfield Town and scored on his first team debut against Scunthorpe in the EFL Trophy.

He had a spell on loan at Alfreton Town earlier this season and now links up with the Gladiators ahead of their EVO-STIK League Premier Division clash at home to Mickleover Sports on Saturday.

Boss Dave Frecklington said: "He's got pace and can play off the shoulder of the last defender and that's something we've missed. We're delighted to have him on board and he should definitely add to our options going forward."
