Before kicking off in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Kidsgrove Athletic at Harrison Park, Kevin Staples and Gareth Thomas from the Football Association joined Councillor Brian Johnson of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, Blues chairman Andy Wain and club officials Paul Bateman and Jonathon Eels for the pitchside ceremony.
Completed this summer in time for the new season, the major refurbishment project cost more than £85,000. Half of the costs of the scheme were provided by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council who matched the funding secured from the Football Stadium Improvement Fund.
Blues chairman Wain has also hailed the success of last week's Sportsman's Evening at the First Division South club that saw Liverpool legend Jan Molby and comedian Gary Marshall entertain a packed audience.
Molby is pictured with Blues skipper Ant Danylyk and Wain said: "The club would like to place on record its thanks to Jan Molby and comedian Gary Marshall, all those involved in arranging the event and those companies and individuals who attended. It was a very successful event that will go a long way towards helping Leek Town FC."
