Bridlington Town tackle energy costs with renewable solution

A new long-term energy solution will see Bridlington Town save £42,000 per year on their energy costs.

As part of the Northern Premier League's plan to combat rising energy fees for clubs amidst the cost of living crisis, Bridlington Town are the latest side to revolutionise their energy solutions.

Working with HDM Energies, the Seasiders have signed a long-term solar power purchase agreement, which will see 400 solar panels installed at Queensgate Stadium.

This means that the club will save £42,000 a year on energy costs, a significant sum for clubs at this level of the football pyramid.

In addition to the new solar panels, Bridlington Town will also benefit from new electric vehicle charging stations for matchday visitors, which will be added for free.

On the new partnership, HDM Energies CEO Dan Rodgers said: "We are thrilled to be able to facilitate panels for a local club through our Energy for All scheme, ensuring they can continue to enjoy affordable electricity bills and clean energy for many years to come."
