Business backs seventh tournament

Ashton United chairman Terry Hollis has thanked the EVO-STIK League club's sponsors and local business community for turning out in force to support their seventh annual golf day.

The Robins chairman congratulated winners R R Toyota, pictured, and sent his thanks to the 17 teams who teed off on Friday as well as footballing legends Darren Beckford and Andy Ritchie who joined club director Jackie Tierney at the 19th hole!

Sponsored once again by Rol-Lite Blinds, volunteers and officials at the EVO-STIK League Premier club staged their first annual golf day back in 2011 at Ashton-under-Lyne Golf Club. After the success of the seventh event, Hollis said: "Once again we have had a fantastic day out supported by friends and the business community. Competition was tight but the lads at RR Toyota just that bit sharper on the day."
