Busy week for BPA

It has been an extremely positive week for Bradford (Park Avenue), launching their free ticket scheme for Saturday, and reaching the West Riding County Cup Final.

Off the field, Avenue introduced a one-off initiative for the weekend's game against Stafford Rangers. By visiting the club's official website (bpafc.com), and clicking on the 'Free Ticket Scheme' tab, people are able to apply for a free ticket for Saturday, with confirmation of the ticket received by email. The scheme is designed to attract new supporters from the city of Bradford and surrounding areas to see what Bradford (Park Avenue) has to offer. The West Yorkshire outfit have promoted the idea via various media outlets all week. The closing deadline is Friday night for those who want to apply.

Meanwhile, on the field, John Deacey's men produced a battling display at Kendal Town to earn a point in the league. However, Avenue produced a stunning performance at Harrogate Town to reach the West Riding County Cup Final, where they face Guiseley, at Valley Parade, home of League 2 club Bradford City. With only 12 fit players available to Deacey on the night, he admits: 'It's great for the club to have a final to look forward to.'

At the same time, chairman Dr John Dean claimed: 'The performance was a herculean effort. This season, we have faced Hyde FC and Harrogate Town away, who are a league above us, and we have thoroughly deserved our victories. There are games that will stick with me, but the result on Wednesday night will remain with me for a long time. It will be a big test for us against Guiseley, but we look forward to it.'

The final will played on Wednesday 11th April.
