The club, who have recently appointed Steve Cunningham as new manager and Damian Crossley as assistant, defeated National League North side Kettering Town 3-1 at home in the Fourth Qualifying Round to reach the next stage of the competition.
Their reward is a trip to York City, who compete in the National League North and have only lost one in their last seven games in all competitions.
York have announced that this Saturday’s clash, with a 3:00pm kick-off, is heading for a record crowd with 2,500 tickets already sold.
“I can’t wait,” said goalkeeper Theo Richardson, who featured in net in all four of their qualifying fixtures.
“These are the games you want to be involved in.
“Obviously York will be a good side being in the league above and the fact they’re full time, too. I’ll expect to be busy at times!”
A Ben Milnes goal saw their qualifying clash with Kettering Town go into extra-time, before striker Diego De Girolamo scored twice to secure a place in the next round with 1,017 in attendance.
“It’s definitely something we’re all proud of,” Richardson said.
“Seeing the fans the way they were during and after the Kettering game showed how much it definitely meant to them and it just means as much to the players.
“The FA Cup is something I’ve always grown up watching, so to make it into the first round is something I’m proud of at my age.
“For us it’s another game. We’ve got a great group and we believe we can compete with anybody on our day.
“The main thing is that we never give in and we showed that against Kettering, so expect the same again Saturday.”
