The U21s manager at the Marston's Stadium is holding the fort following the surprise departure of Anthony Danylyk and his number two Paul Donnelly, pictured left and right, on Saturday night.
Appointed with Donnelly in the summer as successor to Charlie Palmer, former Leek Town boss Danylyk resigned citing a 'change in personal circumstances' soon after guiding the Nailers to a 1-0 home win over Peterborough Sports in EVO-STIK League South.
Unless an early appointment is made this week, Garnett, who led the U21s to a league and cup double in the Worksop Van Hire Development League last season, is likely to be in charge for the club's trip to Loughborough Dynamo in the league on Saturday.
In a statement on their website inviting applications for their vacant post, the Nailers asked "suitably qualified and experienced" managers to contact club secretary Ian Wright via email at: wright.ian24@gmail.com. For more information visit the club's website.
