Celebrations no longer on hold!

After a 2-1 win over Lancaster City on Wednesday night took them back to the top of the table, Northwich Victoria can finally start enjoying their second EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Club of the Month accolade of the campaign.

Any celebrations the Vics may have been planning when they collected October's First Division North award four days earlier on Saturday had to be put on hold before they bounced back after they lost 2-1 to Stocksbridge Park Steels in the FA Trophy.

The Vics were named only a few hours before kick-off at the weekend as one of latest winners of the monthly competition to reward the EVO-STIK NPL's top performers alongside Ilkeston FC in the top flight and Shaw Lane Aquaforce in First Division South.

Handed out every month, the awards are sponsored by Bostik Ltd, parent company of the Northern Premier League's title sponsors EVO-STIK, with winning clubs receiving an inscribed glass trophy to record their achievement and a 4.5 litre bottle of Bells Whiskey to celebrate with.

Gannon and Vics captain Mike Clarke are pictured collecting the club's reward from EVO-STIK NPL representatives Mark and Alan Ogley on the pitch at Wincham Park.

The Vics have already proved their mettle this season when they were crowned as one of August's trio of inaugural performance kings and they were in top form again last month.

As well as winning both their outings in the league, the Vics won through to the First Round of the FA Cup after beating National League North outfit Chorley 2-1 in a replay at Victory Park in the final qualifying round and also overcame Lancaster City in two FA Trophy ties.
