Champions unveil new kit partners

Warrington Town signed a new kit partnership hours before clinching the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League First Division North championship.

Before thumping Prescot Cables 6-1 last Saturday to win the most important match in the club's history and earn the right to play at their highest level ever next season, the Wire unveiled leading Italian sportswear firm Macron as their new partners.

Samples of the new kit are on show in the club shop at Cantilever Park with a new range of official club branded leisurewear and merchandise to mark the start of the partnership now available online after the champions teamed up with the sportswear giants' Macronstore Cheshire.

Warrington Town chairman Toby Macormac said: “Macron is a big name in sports and leisure wear and we are extremely pleased to entering what both parties hope will be a long and successful partnership. Macron’s stature and professionalism speaks for itself and we are honoured to be connected with a company of such international renown."

Mike Davies, Macron store Cheshire owner, added: “This is a very exciting new venture for us and the owner and management of Macronstore Cheshire could not have been more supportive in helping us set up and stock this new club shop with a wide range of attractive, high-quality products.

“It means we can offer our most comprehensive range of merchandise ever and we are sure this will prove very popular with our many hundreds of players and fans. I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to supply Warrington Town FC, we ascertained, early in our marketing strategy to make an approach with their prominence within the area and close proximity to the store."

The EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's fans and clubs celebrated the signing of their biggest-ever kit partnership deal earlier this season when Macron were unveiled as the EVO-STIK NPL’s new official kit suppliers.

Estimated to be worth up to £200,000 over five years, the deal sees the league’s 68 clubs reunited with Macron, the league’s first official kit partners back in 2008.

The upcoming Italian brand supply increasing numbers of Non-League and professional clubs in the UK including the Ryman League. Ironically, the NPL provided an early entry point into the UK market for Macron, with 30-odd clubs taking their playing kit over the course of the original partnership.

Today, Macron supplies Premier League Crystal Palace, several football league clubs and a number of EVO-STIK NPL clubs like Premier Division Hyde United and Marine directly. Macron also boasts a network of stores across the country who will service NPL clubs, mirroring the way their contract with the Ryman League successfully operates.
