Chance to name new catering hut ...

Grantham Town officials have launched a competition to name the club's newly refurbished catering hut in time for the start of the new season!

The programme hut at the Meres until last season, the new matchday catering outlet needs a name after being given a summer makeover by Hatherley Commercial Services Limited.

With the EVO-STIK League Premier Division's Gingerbreads kicking off the new season at home to Marine on Saturday 12 August, fans have been set a deadline of Wednesday 9 August to submit their entries.

In a statement on Wednesday asking for suggestions via email or the club's social media channels, the Gingerbreads said the winner would receive two complimentary tickets and a meal from the newly named hut on the opening day of the season.

A spokeman said: "We are looking for entries via any of our social media channels for fans to name the newly refurbished catering outlet situated at the North End of the ground. As you can see from the picture, the former programme hut has had a dramatic makeover during the summer and is set to be open for the first home league game.

"To enter into the chance of naming the food hut, either reply on Facebook, Twitter or by email to media@granthamtownfc.com with your suggestions, and we will form a shortlist once the 7pm, Wednesday 9 August deadline passes, before announcing the winner on the opening day of the season."
