Latest plans for apprenticeship scheme

Chasetown Scholarship Scheme are offering young footballers the chance to see how far their natural ability can take them, as well as achieving excellent Sporting Qualifications, with a structure very reminiscent to a Football Apprenticeship Scheme.

Chasetown Football Club, partnered with League Football Educator LAW Training Ltd and Stafford College, have established a structure where students will benefit from a full-time sporting environment at Chasetown Football Club either at level 2, the GCSE equivalent or at level 3, the ‘A' level standard, dependant on their academic ability.
Trainee's will receive professional coaching with the full time coaches & gain a BTEC level 2 or 3 Sports qualification as well as NVQ level 2 Exercise and Fitness and FA Level One and Two Coaching Awards, over a period of two years.

Chasetown Scholarship Scheme play in the both the Football Conference Youth Alliance League, along with teams such as Birmingham City, Watford, Luton Town, FC United, Mansfield Town, Tamworth as well as many other quality non league teams up and down the country and the Central Conference League playing Senior Teams such as Burton Albion, Eastwood Town and Ilkeston FC, not forgetting the FA Youth Cup and various Regional Cup Competitions as well as playing top Professional Academy Teams, such as Aston Villa, Coventry City, Blackburn Rovers, Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town.

Players will have a minimum of 10 hours football training / match time each week. Working with a variety of current and ex-Professional Footballers as well as working closely with the Football Association on a regular basis.

Players will have the opportunity to play for Chasetown at every level, including, Reserve and First Team level has been extremely high, as 8 Trainee's over a 3 year period have represented the First Team and Trainee's are frequently playing for the club's successful Reserve Team as well as following current and former Trainee's by being transferring or gaining trials at Premier and Football League Teams.

Striker Jordan Archer 18 and Goalkeeper Mariuzs Kisiel 17, being the latest current Scholarship Trainees to gain First Team recognition making their debuts recently.

If you are a highly driven and motivated 16 or 17 year old on or before 31st August, have the qualifications to meet our entry requirements, and have a high level of footballing ability, this could be a fantastic, unique footballing experience for you.
