Phil Brown, manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North club Lancaster City, has appointed former Squires Gate boss Dave McCann as his assistant in the Giant Axe dug-out.

Brown said: “I’ve known Dave a long time and he has a great knowledge of non-League football.
“I’ve been looking to bring somebody in because I have been working on my own to a certain extent since I became manager. But Dave is a very welcome addition and will fit right in at the club.”
McCann is expected to be in the Giant Axe dug-out tomorrow for the home game against Mossley AFC.

Speaking to the Lancaster Guardian boss Phil Brown said, “I’ve known Dave a long time and he has a great knowledge of non-league football.
“I’ve been looking to bring somebody in because I have been working on my own to a certain extent since I became manager. But Dave is a very welcome addition and will fit right in at the club.”
Dave is expected to be in the Giant Axe dugout on Saturday for Lancaster City's home game against Mossley.
