Crowe, who spent a decade at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium, including six as manager before standing down in December 2016 after a torrid run of eight defeats in nine games, was unveiled on Wednesday.
Brig officials told fans they were looking forward to Crowe working with Neil Reynolds, his former number two who replaced him last season, as well as representing the football management on the EVO-STIK League North club's committee.
A spokesman said: "The new role will see Neil supporting first team manager Neil Reynolds with a number of first team administrative duties. He will also work closely with club chairman Fran Doyle and secretary George Halliwell on club administration. Welcome back Crowey!"
