Cummings commits to Clitheroe

Clitheroe winger Terry Cummings has agreed a new deal for the 2020/21 season.

Cummings, 22, made a big impact in his first season at Shawbridge, making 33 appearances and scoring four goals.

Manager David Lynch told the club’s official website: “I am delighted Terry has agreed to commit himself to the football club for another year.

“He is an exciting young player with a great attitude who wants to develop and learn the game.

“Terry has all the attributes to step up the leagues and I am really looking forward to working with him.”

Meanwhile, club chairman Lee Sharples has stepped down from the role due to personal reasons.

Long-serving finance director Andrew Jackson will take over as acting chairman while the Blues plan their next moves at board level.
