The Lilywhites beat Stalybridge Celtic 3-1 at Hyde United's Ewen Fields to win the Manchester Premier Cup for the second season in a row and retain the Frank Hannah trophy. Remarkably, the First Division North club triumphed in the competition on Wednesday night for the fourth time in five seasons!
In total, the Seel Park outfit have now lifted the cup six times since the competition became known as the Manchester Premier Cup in 1979. In all its guises since first being played as the Manchester Shield in 1934, they have won the competition on 12 occasions.
Rushall Olympic, fresh from their final day win over newly crowned EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division champions Darlington at Dales Lane, put four goals past First Division South Kidsgrove Athletic at Port Vale to win the Staffordshire Senior Cup 4-1 and lift the trophy for the third time in their history.
