Dabbers set to replace Ducks

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Shaw Lane AFC are facing expulsion from the FA Trophy by the Football Association for fielding an ineligible player.

As a result of Friday’s decision by the FA Trophy Sub-Committee at Wembley to remove them from the competition based on the findings of the FA’s Regulatory Commission, Shaw Lane’s first round proper tie at home to Lincoln City on Sunday has been postponed.

Subject to any appeal being lodged by the EVO-STIK NPL First Division South club by a 10am deadline on Monday, Nantwich Town will now take their place in the first round proper of the competition and host Lincoln City on Tuesday 13 December.

The FA announced their decision after a charge of breaching FA Rule E10 raised against the club on Wednesday relating to their third qualifying round tie at home to the Dabbers on Saturday 26 November was found to have been proven.
