Danny Middleton joins Pontefract Collieries

Pontefract Collieries have announced the signing of Danny Middleton for the Pitching In Northern Premier League 2021/22 season.

Middleton, a midfielder, previously captained Sherburn White Rose and has been a key figure for local Sunday side Ferrybridge Progressive.

He said: "I am delighted to be joining Ponte, a club that is really going places and a great set up. The club has progressed through the ranks over the last year few years.

"It’s been a tough couple of years for everyone and I have massively missed getting up for football every weekend. I cant wait for pre-season to get going, get back with the lads and hopefully kick on."

The club also recently announced that Scott Brown had re-joined the club.

He first joined Pontefract the season the club won the NCEL Premier Division and most recently featured for the Colls in the 19/20 season before joining Worksop Town.
