Halls signed for Chorley in the summer of 2020 but suffered an extended injury lay off before returning recently.

The 29-year-old initially signed a one-month loan deal with the club at the start of this year.

Halls hoped to use the temporary switch to the Reds Red Rebels to get back up and running in preparation for the very intense Vanarama National League North end of season run in.

The loan switch has now been extended meaning that Halls will remain in post in FC United of Manchester’s backline until the seasons’ conclusion.

The defender has made 7 appearances in the National League North so far this season.

FC United of Manchester currently sit 8th in the National League North table but find themselves only four points from fourth spot.

Halls has had a promising start to life in his first month at the Reds Red Rebels only losing one game out of five since he made his temporary switch at the start of the new year.

Speaking to FC United of Manchester social media, he said: “I’ve really enjoyed the first 4 weeks of my loan and I’m happy to be staying, playing regularly, and trying to help the team push into the play-offs.

“I hadn’t played back-to-back games since August, so I am feeling fitter and stronger with each game so I’m looking forward to having a strong finish to the season with FC.”

The defender will be looking forward to helping FC United of Manchester with their promotion charge especially after their auspicious start to the new year.

Up next for FC United of Manchester is Witton Albion whom they will host at home on Saturday 3.00pm.
