The 25-year-old, pictured, has not played since the club's 1-0 win at Marine in mid-August and Canaries manager Jimmy Ginnelly has confirmed he will not feature again at Kirkby Road.
Ginnelly, whose side beat top flight leaders Shaw Lane 1-0 on Saturday, told supporters the former Wolverhampton Sporting, Cirencester Town and Swindon Town hot-shot is stepping down a level to play local football while he completes his recovery.
Delaney scored seven times in 39 appearances for the Yeltz last season before signing for the Canaries in August and Ginnelly said: "Ethan went to see a chiropractor and said his back and his groin are in a bad place. He asked me if he could go and play football locally. He knew he couldn't play at this level so I patted him on the back and he's left us."
