Des Lyttle appointed Hucknall manager

First Division South side Hucknall Town have appointed former Tamworth manager Des Lyttle as manager, replacing Tommy Brookbanks.

The Nottinghamshire club confirmed in a statement last night that Brookbanks and his assistant Gary Stones had left the club with immediate effect, before later announcing the appointment of Lyttle, who spent the majority of his professional playing career with Nottingham Forest.

Lyttle's first game in charge will be Saturday's short trip to local rivals Carlton Town.
