After holding a minute's silence for the victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy at the start of Saturday night's glittering event at Blackpool's Hilton Hotel, a raffle and auction supported by nearly 400 guests representing the EVO-STIK NPL's 68 clubs raised a total of £1,100.
EVO-STIK NPL chairman Mark Harris is pictured presenting the cheque for the British Red Cross appeal to Andrew Rason from Bostik UK, parent company of EVO-STIK who were confirmed as the league's title sponsors for at least the next two seasons at Saturday's earlier Annual General Meeting at the venue.
A total of 79 people are either dead or missing presumed dead after the inferno which engulfed the west London tower block in the early hours of last Wednesday morning and was tackled by forty fire engines and more than 200 firefighters. Police said they feared the eventual death toll could be higher as a minute's silence was held at 11am on Monday across the UK to remember the victims.
