Easter delivery before big match

Newcastle Town have been taking time out from preparing for their final EVO-STIK Northern Premier League games of the season to make their annual Easter delivery to sick children at their local hospital.

The EVO-STIK NPL First Division South club's captain James Askey, together with teamates Sam Bradbury, Luke Askey and Kyle Blake and club director Robin Van Der Lann, popped into the University Hospital of North Staffordshire before the weekend's action to deliver Easter eggs and much more to staff and youngsters in the children's ward.

Organised by general manager Geoff Ecclestone and skipper Askey before they hosted title-chasing Shaw Lane AFC on Saturday at The M Club Stadium, the party are pictured delivering a mountain of Easter Eggs and club memorabilia - including footballs, mugs, wrist bands, badges and small sized replica shirts - to nurses Hannah Griffin, Jennie Morrall and Amelia Lowe at the hospital's Cheetham's children's ward.

After their 3-2 defeat to the Ducks at the weekend, Scott Dundas and his Castle side host Lincoln United in EVO-STIK NPL First Division South on Tuesday night. Kick-off 7.45pm.
