Editors wanted for matchday and web roles

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Ossett Town are looking to boost their media output by finding new editors for their official website and matchday programme.

The Ingfielders have announced that they are looking for volunteers to fill the key backroom roles at The 4G Voice & Data Stadium to support the efforts of manager John Reed and his side on the pitch over the next nine months.

Officials say they are hoping the online role in particular will attract interest from journalism students with a passion for the game and a desire to gain experience at the First Division North club.

A club spokesman said: "We are always looking to increase our pool of voluntary support at Ossett Town – and we’re specifically looking to increase our communications support.

"We are looking for an individual, or a group of people, who will take responsibility for the club's online presence, specifically keeping the website up to date with the latest news as well as the match and player information.

"Content will be provided for use, so attendance at every game is not required but the option to conduct player interviews and write match reports is there. This role is ideally suited to a journalist student who is looking for live examples and experience.

"Another vital role currently available is that of match day programme editor. This is ideal for someone who has a love of football and some spare time."

He added: "Once again, like with the website role, attendance at every game is not essential as content will be provided by various contributors."
