Emergency stopper extends his stay

Finnish keeper Will Jääskeläinen is extending his loan at Nantwich Town after arriving as emergency cover from Crewe Alexandra in October.

The 19-year-old former Bolton Wanderers stopper and son of Trotters legend Jussi Jääskeläinen is staying on at the Weaver Stadium until December 11 after pulling off a last-minute penalty save for the Dabbers in their Emirates FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay victory at Kettering Town.

After arriving as cover for first choice keepers Fabian Speiss and Kristian Burzynski, his month's loan from League Two neighbours Crewe Alexandra was due to expire on Wednesday.

Burzynski was back between the sticks on Tuesday night for the EVO-STIK League Premier Division club's 3-1 home win over Droylsden in the first round of the Integro League Cup.
