Djabi has unfinished business at Colne

Striker Mamadou Djabi has signed a one-year deal to return to Colne.

Djabi, 22, played under new Colne head coach Nathan Rooney at Fleetwood Town.

He said: “I enjoyed my previous time at Colne, but saw it as unfinished business.  I had a few offers, but as soon as the gaffer made contact there was only one place I wanted to play. The fans are fantastic and the club has a real family feel about the place.”

Djabi will return for pre-season with the rest of his team mates in the coming weeks.

Chairman Ryan Haigh added: “We are delighted  to have secured Mama’s signature.  The boy has real power and showed us his quality when he was here before.

“He’s turned down some big offers to be part of the project and that speaks volumes.”
