N/West round-up: Workington reopen seven point lead

Workington are seven points clear at the top of the BetVictor Northern N/West Division table following their 4-1 victory over Clitheroe.

All the damage was done in the first half, with a hat-trick from Scott Allison within 43 minutes, and Brad Carroll also bagging on the day. Tyrhys Dolan scored the consolation goal for the visitors in the second half.

Third-placed Marine claimed a 3-1 victory over Droylsden, as a 90-minute goal from Niall Cummins secured the three-points, his second on the day alongside Michael Howard.

Widnes jumped to 15th with a 3-1 victory over Prescot Cables, with Jamie Rainford scoring a first-half hat-trick in the division.

Dunston and Colne played out a 2-2 draw, with goals from Michael Hall and Mark Fitpatrick and Connor Hughes (2) respectively.

Finally, just outside the play-offs, Joe Jagger scored the only goal in the afternoon to claim a 1-0 victory over Pickering Town.
