Premier Division round-up: Yellows move into top five after 5-1 home victory

Warrington Town jumped into the top five in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division table following their impressive 5-1 victory over Lancaster City at Cantilever Park.

Striker Jordan Buckley returned to the starting side from injury under new manager Mark Beesley and bagged a hat-trick to climb to the top of the goalscorer chart with 12 goals so far this season.

Jack Mackreth and Matthew Grivosti also scoring on the day in front of a crowd of 340, while Charlie Bailey scored a consolation goal in the second half for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Stafford Rangers prevented Matlock Town from the top spot following their 3-2 away victory thanks to a brace from Jake Charles and a goal from Thomas Tonks.

Hyde United moved out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 home victory over Nantwich Town. The only goal of the afternoon coming from Bradley Roscoe.

Scott Bakkor’s 90th minute equaliser secured a point for Stalybridge Celtic away at Basford United, while Dominic Roma scored for the hosts in the 77th minute with a 1-1 result.

Goals from Liam Henderson and Ben Ramsey saw Morpeth Town defeat Gainsborough Trinity 2-0 at home, while Mickleover and Grantham drew 2-2.
