Tadcaster appoint Deacey

Tadcaster Albion have appointed John Deacey as their new manager.

Deacey has a wealth of experience in non-league with the likes of Farsley Celtic, Scarborough Athletic and Bradford Park Avenue.

As a player, he represented Middlesbrough, Chesterfield, Harrogate Town, Bishop Auckland, Farsley and North Ferriby in a 25-year career.

He said: ““It’s a great opportunity! I am a local lad who has achieved a lot in non-league and with my experience it will be an honour to help my local club get out of the situation in which it finds itself.

“Success on the field will lead to further success behind the scenes and on the terraces.”

Deacey’s first game in charge will be the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division clash with Bridlington Town this Saturday.
