The 18-year-old trained regularly with the first team at Carlisle, and was part of the senior squad for a number of pre-season friendlies.
Former Workington manager and current Carlisle assistant manager Gavin Skelton said: “We all saw what happened with Workington last season so Isaac knows he’s going to a club that has only one thing in mind, and that’s promotion.
“With it being a work experience arrangement there’s no pressure on him, us, or Workington, and he can still train with us and work with Danny [Grainger] as required.
“He’ll be in an environment today where the Reds will be looking to get off to a good start, so this will be another excellent part of his learning curve.”
