EVO-STIK League West Division side Glossop travel to the Meres having failed to win in eight games this season, including two cup ties against City of Liverpool which ended in a replay defeat after extra time.
Gingerbreads manager, Ian Culverhouse, said: "The season has started at frantic pace, we've got players who want to get some longer game time. But we want to win, and to do that we have to perform better than Saturday.
"They'll be coming with no pressure on them, they'll be hurting from their start to the season, but the cup can provide a distraction from league form. We want to keep winning matches, so we will have to focus and keep possession better."
In line with the competition rules, if the scores are level at full-time, there will be no extra time. It will go straight to penalties.
