The midfielder joined the club in 2017, and has gone on to score 45 goals in 111 appearances.
He said: “We’ve played teams in this division and the league above before and they’ve struggled against us.
“We’re not going to change the way we play and whilst we’re stepping up a league, we’ll be playing on better pitches which is only going to help us.
“I’ve been settled here for a number of years and I’m very happy to be staying with the club for another season.
“If we play at the level we can do week in week out, then it wouldn’t be a surprise to see us towards the top few places in the league and being competitive this season"
