Prescot part company with management duo

Prescot Cables have parted company with management duo Ste Pilling and Roy Grundy.

The pair took over last summer following the departure of Brian Richardson to FC United, and won eight of their 30 league games in charge, which have now of course been scrubbed from the records after the cancellation of the season caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

A club statement said: “Following on from a board meeting earlier this evening, the board of directors have agreed a mutual termination with Ste Pilling and Roy Grundy.

“We’d like to thank them for their time and dedication at the club, starting off as coaching staff, assistants and working through to managing the team last season.

“We wish them well for the future and hope to see them working again in football very soon.”
