Two NPL clubs await FA Cup draw

By James Gordon

There are two NPL clubs awaiting their fate in this evening's FA Cup first round draw.

Nantwich Town are definitely through, Troy Bourne's first half goal leading them past King's Lynn Town 1-0 on the weekend.

In the hat are Whitby Town, who must navigate a tricky replay at Stourbridge this evening to take their place in the first round proper.

The draw takes place at 7pm, live on BBC.

The Dabbers have already ensured that the NPL has gone one better than last season, when four teams bowed out in the fourth qualifying round meaning no representation in the first round draw.

There is also the potential for a bye straight through to the second round - following Bury's demise, the FA announced last week that the last team out of the hat in tonight's draw will go straight through, as well as receiving the substantial prize money for progressing.
