Smyth returns to the club for his second stint at Sandy Lane, having played for the Tigers in 2014 under Mark Shaw before representing the likes of Handsworth Parramore, AFC Mansfield and Pontefract Collieries, for whom he played under current boss Craig Parry.
He said: “It is brilliant to be back; it has been a long time since I have worn the Worksop Town shirt.
“Worksop is such a big club with some great fans, so I am buzzing to be back.
“I think the fans will be able to enjoy a more experienced player to what they saw last time. I was 18-years old when I last played for Worksop and I was raw out of academy football, so they will see that I have matured as a player."
