The NPL Premier Division hosts were undone by two goals from veteran Lee Hughes, Ivor Lawton and Kieran Morris.

Grantham's league rivals Farsley Celtic were another side to hit four at Throstle Nest against NPL Division One West neighbours Brighouse Town.

Four different marksmen for Celtic though as George Hornshaw after 37 minutes, Jamie Spencer just after half-time, Nathan Cartman on 66 minutes and Matt Britton 9 minutes from time outgunned James Hurtley's 69th minute reply.

There was a thriller at Silverlands where NPL Premier Division hosts Buxton came back from 2-0 down and a man light to earn a second go at Southern League Premier Division Central side King's Lynn Town.

Michael Gash on 44 minutes and Craig Parker on the hour-mark gave the Linnets their cushion, and when Liam Hardy received a straight red card shortly afterwards, it didn't look good for the Bucks.

But a Greg Young brace on 68 and 76 minutes pulled the ten-men level and Callum Chippendale out them in front with 6 minutes to go.

However, a stoppage time Jack Frohawk goal earned Lynn a replay.

Frickley Athletic's poor form in the NPL Division One East continued in the Trophy as they bowed out 3-0 at Westfield Lane to NPL Division One West side Ramsbottom United.

A Jameel Ible own goal after just 7 minutes didn't do the Blues' morale much good and then Nialle Rodney after 70 minutes and Ruben Jerome 10 minutes later killed Frickley off.

Hyde United also hit three without reply in the all-NPL Premier tie at Ewen Fields.

Connor Simpson's 18th minute opener was added to by a Nicky Platt brace in the second half.

Of the former winners, NPL Premier Division Stafford Rangers edged out Southern League Premier Division Central side Rushall Olympic 2-1 at Marston Road with goals from Danny Burns and Ethan Stanton

NPL Premier Division Matlock Town, winners way back in 1975, are out, losing 1-0 at Southern Premier Division Central St Neots Town, for whom Nabil Shariff scored the only goal on 66 minutes.

The 1992 runners-up Witton Albion won the all-NPL Premier Division tie at Whitby Town, courtesy of Billy Smart's goal on the hour-mark, while Leek Town, runners-up two years earlier, have the chance of a home replay after the NPL Division One West side shared a 0-0 draw at the Zeeco Stadium against NPL Division One East outfit Stamford AFC.
