After a meeting between the EVO-STIK NPL First Division South club's kit suppliers Supersport and Blues kit manager Ken Ashford to review the entries, the design submitted by junior supporter Charlie Lucy, pictured, was chosen.
A Supersport spokesman said: "The designs entered in the competition were varied and imaginative but on the whole Charlie’s was a clean design and fitted with the club sponsors branding. The kit production team took the design concept further by introducing a more modern approach to the sash idea and the results are stunning."
Leek Town chairman Jon Eeles said: “The competition has created a lot of interest around the club and is a further step to involving our supporters where we can. We have also changed some of our merchandise this year and we will be introducing a traditional blue and white scarf which has been requested by many fans."
Officials at Harrison Park say everyone who entered the competition will now receive a traditional Leek Town scarf as a consolation prize while winner Lucy will be presented with one of the replica shirts. The club's new kit and existing home kit will be available at Supersport from early August in time for the big kick-off to the new season on Saturday 13 August.
