FC United homecoming for National League North forward

FC United of Manchester have announced the return of Warrington Town forward Jordan Buckley for an undisclosed fee.

Buckley previously featured for FC United before making the move to the Yellows in 2019.

He went on to score 35 goals in 89 appearances for the club, including 18 in 32 games in 2021/22 as they reached the Northern Premier League play-off final.

Buckley has endured an injury-hit time over the last two seasons and has found game time limited following Town's promotion to the National League North.

He scored his first goal of the season earlier this month - a stoppage-time winner at home to Rushall Olympic - but limped off midway through the first half their FA Trophy defeat to Blyth Spartans the following week.

He joins an FC United side currently 16th in the Northern Premier League.

They have won just one of their last nine matches in all competitions and have conceded two of more goals in six of their last seven.
