Callum Saunders breaks club record

Callum Saunders broke club records for Witton Albion over the weekend.

He netted in his ninth successive league game for the club, breaking George Stubbs' long-standing record of eight successive matches which has stood since the 1940s.

The first goal of the run came at the beginning of October against Grantham Town, while he added a brace two weeks ago away at Stalybridge Celtic in this impressive run of form in front of goal.

The striker leads the goalscoring charts in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division with 12 league goals, one in front of next-best Robert Grant.
