Clitheroe appoint Moore

Club statement

Clitheroe FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Moore as its new manager. A professional footballer in his youth, Paul has previously managed at Leek Town, Warrington Town and Congleton Town. He is qualified to UEFA A standard and has strong links to Manchester City’s youth set up. His most recent position was as Director Football at Woodley Sports twelve months ago.

Anne Barker said “We have gone through a rigorous selection process and undertaken due diligence on those candidates of interest to us. We were looking for a man who embodied the ethos of this great football club, who understands the importance of creating a strong team bond and ethic, who understands the intricacies and personalities of the non league footballing world and who is able to take players and improve their level of performance. Paul has demonstrated these qualities in previous roles and I have been impressed by his determination and commitment to securing this position . The executive committee is delighted to welcome him as our new manager and I know he will be keen to get to know the players and the fans at the earliest opportunity."

Secretary Colin Wilson said the appointment of Paul is a turning point for the club his enthusiasm is top class and his knowledge at this level with players is second to none
