The EVO-STIK League South club are hosting two finals to decide the 2017 National Masters Over 40s and Over 45s titles on Sunday, the first 1pm kick-off involving their own Over 40s East Midlands Veterans Premier League champions against Liverpool-based Copplehouse.
Copplehouse, famous for nurturing a young Wayne Rooney, beat Basford at the quarter final stage last season and they are also involved in the later Over 45s final when they'll be kicking off against former champions Harrogate AFC at 3.15pm.
The EVO-STIK League's Nottingham-based flag-bearers booked their berth in the finals with a penalty shoot-out win Manor Vets after winning a regional play-off and coming through a six team group stage featuring six clubs from Manchester, Liverpool, Huddersfield and Derbyshire.
Admission on Sunday is £2 with the price of the ticket refundable against purchases of food and drink on sale at Greenwich Avenue.
