Tranmere Rovers forward joins Marine on loan

Marine have bolstered their options in the final third with the signing of Tranmere Rovers striker Jake Burton.

The 20-year-old arrives at Rossett Park on loan until January 2023.

He featured in recent pre-season friendlies for the Mariners, scoring against both Bootle and Runcorn Linnets.

“Jake is someone we liked last season before he went to Stalybridge on loan,” manager Neil Young said. “We have been trying for a number of weeks to bring Jake to the club and we are very grateful that Tranmere have now allowed him to come.

“He is quick, tenacious and scores goals, and is exactly what we need within the squad.”
