First North Fair Play Award - October.

Lancaster City.

The First Division North Fair Play award for October has gone to LANCASTER CITY.

It was a tight affair in the First Division North where Lancaster City made it three monthly awards out of three and the current holders of the FA’s National Fair Play award are certainly taking the responsibility that award brings with it very seriously indeed setting a tremendously high standard as they try and retain the award next May. They had just two cautions in four games in the month and one third of the way through the campaign have incurred just four cautions in Evo-Stik games. However they have a stiff challenge from Woodley Sports who themselves have a very impressive record of only five league cautions up to the end of October which would see them lead in either of the other two Divisions. Woodley, along with Witton Albion, made it a three way tie for the October monthly award as all three only had two cautions in the four games each played during the month. However, Lancaster’s Tech Area marks were 100% perfect just edging out Witton and Woodley with the three clubs, not surprisingly, occupying the top three slots in the Division’s season to date tables with £1000 on offer to the winners next May.

Lancaster City were presented with their monthly award of a 1.5 litre bottle of Famous Grouse Whiskey prior to the game versus Skelmersdale United on the 12th November.
