Frickley announce Czech link-up

Premier Division club start partnership with FK Jindřichův Hradec.

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Frickley Athletic have announced an international link-up with Czech club FK Jindřichův Hradec 1910.

The two clubs celebrated their 100th year of existence during the 2010/2011 season and have joined together to expand their network and share ideas. Frickley Marketing Manager Chris Johns said: “We are delighted to be able to link up with FK J. Hradec 1910. We hope to build a good relationship with them and hopefully share some useful ideas and practices.

"Both clubs are in a similar position in terms of resources so we’re not expecting huge things from the link up straight away but as our relationship grows we can hopefully work towards furthering the partnership. It is quite a unique thing for a non-league club to have so we’re delighted to be able to establish this affiliation”.

FK Jindřichův Hradec 1910 play in the 5th tier of the Czech Republic football league system in the South Bohemia regional section. They finished in 5th place in the 2010/2011 season with a final day 3-0 defeat of Malše Roudné.

The club plays its matches in the town of Hradec Králové, which lies approximately 75 miles east of the Czech capital Prague, and has a population of around 95,000. Frickley fans can check out their website at www.fotbaljh.cz and join their Facebook page
