GreenFields realise the aspiration of an artificial pitch can sometimes seem financially unrealistic. We have teamed up with financial funding experts, who can offer support and business planning to enable clubs to secure the right type of funding. With extensive sports sector experience our funding partner can help to access a number of funding options including:
Local Authority (Section 106/CIL funding)
Section 106 (S106) Agreements are legal agreements between local authorities and developers; these are linked to planning permissions and can also be known as planning obligations. The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a new system of funding through planning charges that the council can ask developers to pay for most new building projects. S106 obligations remain alongside CIL but will be restricted to that infrastructure required to mitigate the impact of a proposal. The LA may financially support a project in other ways, dependent on local factors.
