Gladiators defender departs

Matlock Town defender Sean Higgins has left the club.

Higgins arrived at the Gladiators prior to the 2022/23 season, having previously featured for Trafford in the Pitching In NPL West Division.

He went on to make six appearances in all competitions, but has now opted to move onto pastures new after conversations with the club.

Discussing Higgins’ departure, Matlock boss Craig Elliott said: "He’s missed a lot of training, and when I spoke with him, we both agreed things weren’t working out for him or the club.

“He goes with our best wishes."
